This beautiful pendant in Petoskey Stone and sterling silver is by Kevin Gauthier of Traverse City. Kevin has been collecting, polishing, cutting and making gorgeous jewelry out of Michigan stones since he was a boy. The natural oval-shaped stone in its setting is is 5/8" x 3/4" tall, with an overall length of 1 3/8" including the bail. The stone is set in a silver frame which sets it off nicely, (a cabochon setting). If this particular pendant has been sold and is no longer here, please ask us for images of those currently on hand and we will be happy to send them to you.
* Please try to ignore the shine on the stone - a reflection caught in the image. Sorry!
Petoskey stones were a living coral colony millions of years ago, when Michigan was deep under a salt water sea, now a beautifully patterned fossil stone, treasure we hunt on the beach.
